I used to make fun of myself for always getting toward the end of the school year, barely surviving with nothing left in the tank, only to catch this sudden second wind and get laser-focused on preparing for the next year.
I now know that that’s just what I do. It is what it is 🤷🏽♂️
That said, I have some things in the pipeline that I’m extraordinarily excited about sharing with the incredible community of language teachers who are committed to this work.
AfroFranco Book Club is underway! French teachers from around the globe are gathering virtually to explore and discuss literature from Black & Brown authors across the Francophonie and I could not be more excited about it. Join us July 2 as we host our inaugural discussion of the Martinican classic La Rue Cases Nègres by Joseph Zobel.
AfroFranco Level 1 Curriculum is on the way! This passion project of mine that is dedicated to centering Black & Brown peoples in the Francophone world is going to soon be available for purchase both here and on my TeachersPayTeachers site. Map Talks, Story Scripts, Graphic Organizers and plenty more tools all in the same place!
Please stay in touch and keep your ear to the ground for these and many more cool things coming 🖤❤️💚
