And our January '22 Book Club Read Is...

My dear friends,

The people have spoken. And far be it from me to deny the will of democracy.

As such, I am absolutely thrilled to announce that our next AfroFranco Book Club read will be Frère d'Âme, by David Diop.

This book has come highly recommended by so many people whom I deeply respect. I hear it's another heavy one, but I'm all the way here for it. Let's read!

Family, if I can ask a favor of you...

Organizing this Book Club is a huge passion project for me. But I could use some help spreading the word.

If you have enjoyed our discussions, or even if you have just benefitted from following along with our reading suggestions, please tell a friend or a colleague (or someone in charge of professional development in your district...) about the Book Club. It would mean a lot to me and to the mission.

Folks, I couldn't be more excited to get started reading. I'll remind you again that our next session will be Friday, January 14, 2022 at 8PM Eastern, which is the eve of my 37th birthday, so when you see me indulging in all the wine and whatnot, I don't want to hear any judgment from you!

Thanks so much to everyone who has been participating and supporting!

See you soon,

Ben

Merci! I have forwarded this to some colleagues. It is my birthday on the evening of the session, so I will try to attend. :)
